THE NATIONAL DISASTER LIFE SUPPORT FOUNDATION (NDLSF) IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT FOUNDATION DEDICATED TO THE ESTABLISHMENT AND PROPAGATION OF STANDARDIZED, ALL-HAZARDS, MULTI-DISCIPLINARY, AND COMPETENCY-BASED TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR FIRST RESPONDERS IN MASS CASUALTY SITUATIONS.History of NDLS Courses
History of NDLS Courses
The National Disaster Life Support Foundation, Inc. (NDLSF) oversees the National Disaster Life Support (NDLS) courses, a series of educational programs to better prepare health care professionals and emergency response personnel for mass casualty events. The NDLS courses are comprehensive, all-hazards, competency-based, standardized, and multi-disciplinary. These courses assist health professionals respond to mass casualty events regardless the cause. The NDLS courses were developed by four academic centers：
Georgia Regents University, Center for Operational Medicine
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas
University of Georgia, Institute of Disaster Management
University of Texas - Houston, School of Public Health
Introducing Courses
NDLS courses were officially introduced into China in 2015. The courses were taught in Chinese non-English language for the first time in the world. With the efforts of Chineses experts, NDLS courses in China were localized and developed more suitable to China’s cultural environment and Chinese learners.
International NDLS Training Centers
The NDLS courses are conducted through affiliated training centers.There are 80 American domestic NDLS training centers or training sites, and 18 global training centers located in Japan, South Korea, India, etc.NDLS courses were officially introduced into China by Shanghai Xingcheng Medical Technology Co., Ltd in 2015. Shanghai Xingcheng Medical Technology Co., Ltd is in charge of the course management in China. NDLS Training Sites in China
